Luxury vinyl plank installation in Austin.

LVP is tough, water resistant and well suited to Central Texas slabs. Installed right, it looks like wood and stays flat.

Flatness is everything

Rigid-core LVP clicks together and floats over the subfloor, which means any dip or hump in the slab shows up as a soft spot or a joint that will not stay closed. We check flatness against the manufacturer's tolerance and grind or level where needed. That step is listed in the bid, not added later.

Glue-down or floating

Floating click-lock plank is the most common. Glue-down vinyl is used for commercial spaces, rolling loads and some rental units. We will recommend the system that fits how the space is used.

Long runs and transitions

Open floor plans often allow one continuous run through the house, but long runs need the right expansion breaks per the manufacturer. We plan those at doorways so they are clean and intentional.

What the bid covers

Questions about luxury vinyl plank

Is LVP waterproof?

Many products are rated waterproof at the plank, but water can still reach the subfloor at edges and seams. Proper perimeter detailing in wet areas matters.

Can LVP go over existing tile?

Sometimes, if the tile is sound, flat and grout lines are filled or leveled. We will check the tile onsite and recommend removal if it would compromise the new floor.
